 Resolutions toward the improvement
 
of the association

1) To reconstruct the association rules, the organizational structure,and the management system.
2) To continue the member-reinforcement campaign, with a membership target of more 5 corporations
3) To hold annual general meetings in June and a New Year's greeting party
4) To work toward incorporating the association
 To increase and stabilize use of
  mail services
1) To research and analyze user trends according to differently priced mail services
2) To research and study the problems of packaging and inserting mail
3) To hold regular meetings among Postal Department within Regional (Tokyo, Kanto, and Kinki) and the Postal Services Agency for the exchange of ideas and opinions
4) To research and study the privacy and security of customer information
 Execution of educational programs
1) To hold lectures for Mailing Adviser Certificate candidates
2) To hold follow-up lectures for Mailing Advisers who are already certified
3) To hold lectures on various other themes
4) To execute overseas educational programs
 Responding to enviromental problems
1) To research and study procurement of environmental materials
2) To research and study recycling, using recycled paper, and discarding paper
3) To publicize the use of energy and the decrease of toxic exhaust
 Development of the publicity
1) To regularly publicize mailing news and regularly update the members'list
2) To gather and introduce mailing information from domestic and international sources
3) To improve and promote the association's home page (to promote the use of sponsored advertisements by members)
 Coping with globalism
1) To establish an international division (publicity committee)
2) To translate the association's home page into English
3) To participate in e-mail international network meetings and postal service international confererences held by various countries


July, 1985
Started as a volunteer group "The Information Service Communication Group" in order to exchange information and enhance relationships between the members.

August, 1988
Due to rapid growth in the usage of mailing services, we changed our name to "Japan Mailing Service Association".

 1)Giving suggestions to related governmental and municipal offices
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications: Establishment of a subsidy fund for qualifying organizations (1992)
We were successful in lobbying the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and related organizations to establish a subsidy fund for qualifying mail service industry organizations and in granting us the sole power to authorise proof of qualification.
The Ministry of Finance: Tax relief for organizations upgrading facilities and equipment. (1992).
We were successful in lobbying the Ministry of Finance to grant tax relief for member organizations investing in upgrading and/or improving facilities and equipment.
The Prime Minister's Office: Acceptance as one of the industries in the Classification of Japan's Standard Industries (No.8699)
In the 10th revision of the Japan Standard Industries, the mailing service was accepted as one of the designated independent service industries in the country. Because of this acceptance, this industry has improved its status in the country.

 2)Issuing Members' Certification
By showing this Members' certification, which is issued by the association, you are able to use funds from the "Subsidy Fund " at your convenience.
 3)Operating the Mailing Adviser Certification
By having an employee who has in-depth knowledge of the mailing system, a company can earn the trust of its customers. The mailing adviser certification system's purpose is to increase the number of mailing specialists, and issue certifications.
 4)Participating in the Postal Fair
Participate in the annual Postal Fair, which is held by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and other mail related companies. The association will participate and back up member companies to promote them and the mailing service industry.

 5)Overseas Training
Research the mailing service business and its management style in Western countries. Have a training system in which we visit post offices and private companies overseas.
